Product Description
Differences Between MOPA Welding and Traditional Welding
This type of welding is a combination of a series of micro welds, unlike conventional welding techniques based on large molten pools.
 
The high peak value and short pulse width can lead to mixing between metals and rapid cooling, avoiding generating a large number of brittle compounds between metals, which is similar to the mosaic welding effect. The ultra-high repetition frequency with oscilloscope scanning can well control the welding diameter and melt depth, which is the best solution for welding thin materials of dissimilar metals.
 
Overview
The MOPA structure with primary oscillation power amplification can support independent pulse width and frequency adjustment. Through the adjustment and matching of these two laser parameters, a constant high peak power output can be achieved, which can be applicable to a broader range of processing applications.

Operating Principles
MOPA: The master oscillator-power amplifier uses a low-power laser with excellent performance as a seed source to inject the seed laser into a single-stage or multi-stage fiber amplification system and finally realizes the laser technology of outputting high-power amplification. It is a fiber laser that uses a glass fiber doped with rare-earth ions as the gain medium to generate laser oscillation in the fiber and output it.
